Itinerary
Day 1: La Paz – Sajama National Park
We will depart early in the morning towards Sajama National Park, on a journey of approximately 4 hours. Upon arrival, we will settle in the village of Sajama. In the afternoon, we will take a short acclimatization hike around the area to explore the surroundings and enjoy the landscape.
Day 2: Ascent to Parinacota (6,360 m) – Return to Sajama
At 2:00 a.m., after a light breakfast, we will begin our approach in a 4×4 vehicle to High Camp (5,140 m). From there, we will start the ascent through the moraine until we reach the glacier. Using technical equipment, we will continue climbing to the summit of Parinacota volcano (6,360 m), enjoying spectacular views. The ascent will take approximately 6 hours. We will then descend via the same route to the vehicle, which will take us back to the village of Sajama.
Day 3: Hot Springs – Return to La Paz
Before heading back, we will relax in the area’s natural hot springs—a well-deserved rest after our expedition. Then, we will begin our return journey to La Paz.
