Its ascent takes place in a desert landscape where the characteristic smell of sulfur is easily noticeable. Along the route, you can observe yellowish sulfur crystals as well as the imposing and elegant volcanic pyramids that dominate the horizon within Sajama National Park.<\/p><p>At the beginning of the season, conditions are often optimal for skiing, making this mountain an even more attractive destination for adventure enthusiasts.<\/p><p>Experience the thrill of conquering this summit and discover the beauty of the Bolivian Altiplano!<\/p><h2>Itinerary<\/h2><p><strong>Day 1.- La Paz \u2013 Sajama National Park<\/strong><\/p><p>We will begin our journey early in the morning towards Sajama National Park, a trip of approximately 5 hours. Upon arrival, we will settle in the village of Sajama and, in the afternoon, take a short walk to explore the area. If conditions allow, we will visit the hot springs, where we can enjoy a relaxing bath in a stunning natural setting.<\/p><p><strong>Day 2.- Sajama \u2013 Chachacomani \u2013 Acotango Ascent (6,052 m) \u2013 Return to La Paz<\/strong><\/p><p>From Sajama, we will head to Chachacomani, a small village near the base of Acotango. From there, we will start our ascent via the Quebrada del C\u00f3ndor Jipi\u00f1a mining route (4,800 m), reaching 5,400 meters by vehicle before beginning the hike.<\/p><p>The ascent to the Acotango summit will take between 4 and 5 hours, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding volcanoes and landscapes. After reaching the top, we will begin our descent and head to the village of Tambo Quemado, where we will take a break to resupply and enjoy a well-deserved lunch.
